Pisco Airport Information; Arrivals and DeparturesAt the moment this airport is being modernized and will be a rather big airport in the near future. The renovation work will require 153 million soles in investment. Once completed, the airport would be managed by Aeropuertos del Peru (AdP). The new airport would satisfy all the necessary conditions needed to receive international flights, and would be operational by 2015. It would meet the highest standards in infrastructure, technology, office space, stores, and parking. The airport would receive around 400,000 passengers a year, starting in 2017. Pisco’s airport fees would be 40 percent less expensive than the ones at Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport, making it an attractive option for low-cost carriers. The new airport is also expected to increase tourism in the area, and attract investment to the hotel, travel, and restaurant industries. It will serve tourists looking to visit the Nasca Lines, the Islas Ballestas, Paracas and other destinations in the area.
